Congratulations to the cast of “The Wizard of Oz!” 

Mrs. Eckert and Mrs. Walters would like to thank everyone who auditioned – we had nearly 100 students audition from both buildings, and are looking forward to working together to create a great show! See the links for cast pages showing the specific groups of actors.

PLEASE NOTE: some high school and junior high students have multiple roles, so be sure to check all of the lists.  Please let Mrs. Eckert or Mrs. Walters know if you will not be able to accept your part.

The first rehearsal will be for all available high school students and non-Munchkin junior high students Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6:15 – 8:00 p.m. in the JSH Auditorium. Please let Mrs. Walters or Mrs. Eckert know if you have a conflict with this rehearsal other than previously noted sports participation.

There will also be a parent meeting on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the JSH Auditorium for parents of all cast members. Rehearsal expectations, schedules and volunteer opportunities will be discussed. If you are unable to make this meeting, please contact Mrs. Walters by email (walters.noelle@usd377.org) so she can send the information to you directly.

 

Wizard of Oz rehearsals for this week have some changes to the schedule. Monday 10/22 - no change - HS & non-Munchkin JH cast from 6-8 p.m. (dinner at 5:30). Tuesday 10/23 - Munchkin rehearsal as scheduled from 3:30 - 5:15 p.m. (w/ snack); however, in the evening (6-8 p.m.), we will rehearse Act I with the principle characters only (Dorothy, Uncle Henry, Aunt Em, Miss Gulch, Prof. Marvel, Glinda, Lion, Scarecrow and Tinman). There will be dinner served. Thursday 10/25 will just be Act I rehearsal with the principle characters again, 6-8 p.m. Friday 10/26 is still TBA. Please let Mrs. Walters know if you have questions about these rehearsal changes.​
