Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year! This is my third year at ACCES teaching third grade.
This is my 27th year of teaching, during which I have taught all grades 1-6. Previous to teaching here, I spent one year at Holton as a school librarian, and 20 years at Russell, KS, with a wide variety of grade level assignments. My first teaching job was in Delano, CA, teaching 3rd grade.
I have been married to my husband Kent for 31 years. Kent is an elementary principal in Atchison. We live at Paradise Lake with our Corgi, Bentley, and our cat, Skittles. I have 2 adult children, Zachary, 24, & Haley, 21. Zachary lives in Manhattan, KS, and Haley is attending Washburn University in Topeka.
When I am not teaching, I love reading, home improvement, flea market shopping, and traveling. I also enjoy entertaining, and host a family July 4th celebration every year.
